Boat Diving Board and Boating Destinations

There is nothing like spending a beautiful day on the lake. It is even better if your boat has a diving board from Lillipad Marine installed. The water is so refreshing and cold as you dive into it and the sunshine is warm on your shoulders as you climb back aboard to take another dive.

But you also enjoy the excitement of fishing from your boat and grilling your day’s catch for dinner. In fact, you enjoy all of the activities you do on your boat.

The lower 48 states are home to over 125,000 lakes, many of which are fun recreational destinations. But there are certainly some lakes that stand out from the crowd. Here is a short list of some of the best boating lakes in the United States.

Crater Lake

Crater Lake is in Crater National Park, a beautiful park that lies at the foot of the Cascade Mountains in Oregon. Crater Lake is the deepest freshwater lake in the United States and one of the top ten deepest in the world.

There is plenty to see and do at Crater Lake including fishing, swimming and enjoying the beautiful sights.

Lake Minnetonka

The name of this lake comes from the Sioux word that means “big water.” And it is a big lake, with over 14,000 acres of surface area. So it does live up to its name.

Lake Minnetonka is located in Minnesota and has been a popular tourist destination for centuries. Whether you want to do a little fishing from your boat or just some relaxing, this is a great lake for either.

Lake Powell

Lake Powell is one of the largest man-made reservoirs in the United States. It boasts a shoreline of almost 2,000 miles and a surface area of over 160, 000 acres.

Lake Powell is located on the border of Utah and Arizona, right in the middle of the desert. It is in a very picturesque spot and draws millions of visitors each year. You can fish here all year long catching sunfish, crappies, bass and catfish.

And, of course, boats are welcome.

Lake Winnebago

Lake Winnebago, located in Wisconsin, is truly a fisherman’s paradise. There is an amazing amount of fish species in this lake including bass, pike, walleye, sturgeon and muskellunge to name a few.

Lake Winnebago is so big that it never feels like you are fishing the same lake twice. And it is big enough that you don’t feel crowded while you are out boating on it.

Lake Superior

Lake Superior is one big lake. In fact, it is the largest freshwater lake in the world. The lake is full of all of the fish you love to catch including trout, chinook, salmon and walleye. Boaters who are in the middle of the lake will feel like they are in the middle of the ocean.

If you love being in your boat on the water, you will feel right at home on Lake Superior.

So pack up your boat, visit Lillipad Marine and buy a diving board, and head out to one of these fine boating destinations.
