A Boat Diving Board Will Make Your Party Epic
You bought a boat, you even bought a boat diving board from Lillipad Marine, and now you are ready to throw an epic party on your boat.
The only problem is that you have no idea how to go about throwing a party on your boat. It is important that you know what to do and to have everything worked out ahead of time otherwise your party might turn out quite bad. Like that time you decided not to take your spouse’s advice on what to wear to that job interview.
You want your boat party to be fun, memorable and safe. That means you are going to have to do some careful planning. Here are a few tips to how to host an epic party on a boat.
Determine A Budget
Knowing just how much money you are willing to spend on your epic boat party is key. Figure out how much money you want to spend on food, entertainment and beverages and the number of people you plan on inviting.
You might even want to include other logistics like transportation to and from your party. After all, if you want a safe party, these things need to be considered.
Make a List
First of all, don’t go crazy and invite as many people as you can. Determine how many people can safely be on your boat and that will be the limit on the number of people you can invite.
Also, beware of who you invite to your boat party. People who are obnoxious at such gatherings are better off staying at home. Being obnoxious at a house party is one thing, but there are safety issues to think about when throwing a party on a boat.
You also want to avoid inviting people who may cause awkward moments. For example, if you invite Karen to the party, you cannot invite her ex, Barry, even though both are friends of yours. Especially if Karen is bringing her new boyfriend along to the party.
And do not invite anybody who is prone to seasickness, that is just a recipe for disaster.
The entertainment you choose can make or break your party, so make the right decisions. You might be better off just hiring a DJ to spin some tunes, this is almost always a safe bet.
What you don’t want to do is book a band that does AC/DC covers because you know the drummer. A band that does AC/DC covers will not make your party epic in any way, not even close.
There are games you can play at your party, just make sure they are appropriate for the type of people you have invited. Keep in mind that you are on a boat, so backyard games like lawn darts and badminton are not recommended.
Your throwing a boat party and you want it to be epic, so serve epic food. Burgers and hot dogs are fine for those summer backyard parties, but not right for a boat party. You should also avoid pigs in a blanket, a meat and cheese plate, wings and the dreaded three-foot sandwich from Subway. Can you throw an epic party serving a three-foot Subway sandwich?
Any dish with artichoke in it is a good dish. The same holds true for eggplant. If you feel the urge to serve cheese, try Gorgonzola cheese balls. Everybody loves saying Gorgonzola. Seared scallops with lemon sauce is sure to be a hit. In fact, any seafood that you served seared is sure to be a big hit.
Pork chops are rather boring, unless you serve them with a fig sauce, then they become irresistible. Steamed mussels are quite good, but even better when you add a touch of chorizo to them. Also, mint yogurt served with any dish makes it fancy.
It doesn’t really matter the type of food you serve, just make sure it looks great, tastes great and is classy.
